In England everything stops for tea and traditionally cake is served. We believe a classic English fruit cake is one of the world's great culinary inventions. Our mission is to bring these delicacies to food lovers all over the world.

What makes our cakes so special?

They’re made with the finest ingredients. We will not compromise on the quality of our recipes. We take no short-cuts. We don’t use pre-mixes. Everything is made from scratch. All our cakes are made with pure butter. We never use palm oil. Our dried fruits are carefully sourced from the best producers. We strive to find the top grades of flour, cane sugar and eggs. We won’t use any artificial colours or flavours. The bakery is a nut-free environment and all our recipes are nut-free.

  • A Long Tradition

    Our cakes are baked in small batches, by humans, not by mass production machines. Using an old family recipe, they're lovingly made in a family-run bakery in SW England.

  • Fruit Cake Specialists

    The team are very experienced and focused on supplying the very best fruit cake. We believe we offer the largest range of fruit cakes in the UK (currently eight varieties). 

  • Palm Oil Free

    All our cakes are made with pure butter. We do not use palm oil. We do not use pre-mixes or any artificial colours or flavours.  

  • Stable, long shelf life

    Fruit cake is very durable. Shelf life is not a problem. The cake is resilient to long shipping times and changes in climate. It actually improves with age.

    Our cakes are very popular as gifts so we make sure they’re attractively presented in gift boxes and decorative cake tins exclusively designed for Buckingham.
