Are the cakes suitable for vegetarians?
Yes, all our cakes are vegetarian.

Do you offer a gluten-free cake?
Sorry, we don’t currently offer gluten-free.

What is your allergens advice?
All the cakes contain butter (dairy), wheat flour (gluten) and eggs. Ingredients for each cake are listed on the website. For allergens and cereals containing gluten see ingredients marked in underline on product pages. All the cakes are made to a nut-free recipe.

The cakes are made in a bakery handling soya, sulphites and other cereals containing gluten.

What date mark will be on the cakes?
All cakes are date-marked. Cakes will be delivered with a minimum of 30 days before their ‘best-before’ date.

How should the cakes be stored?
Fruit cake is an ambient product. The cake is ready to eat. Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. No need to refrigerate. Do not freeze.

Can you decorate the top of the cake?
Sorry, we don’t decorate our cakes. All our focus is on the cake itself.

Do you include an invoice when you send the cake?
No, we do not include an invoice as many of our cakes are sent as gifts. We can email an invoice to the buyer upon request.

Does the price include taxes?
VAT is stated at checkout. In the UK cake is zero-rated for VAT but different rates apply in other countries. We are set up to ensure VAT will be accounted for in EU countries. We are not responsible for VAT outside of the UK/EU and we are NOT responsible for import duties and other taxes which some non-EU countries may apply.

BFPO addresses, India, China & Russia

What is the cost of delivery?
Postal charges are defined on our 'Delivery' page.

What is the delivery timescale?
See our 'Delivery' page. All orders are dispatched by Royal Mail parcel service. Our delivery times are for guidance only and are not a
guarantee. We are not liable for delivery delays once an order has been dispatched.

Will you deliver on a nominated day?
No, we cannot provide delivery on a nominated day. Since Covid, Royal Mail is slower than before. If the cake is for a specific event or is a gift for a particular day, please order early to avoid disappointment.

How do I know my order is on its way?
When you place an order, you will receive an email confirmation. If you don’t receive the email please check your spam/junk folder.

Can I track my delivery?
Yes, after the order has been dispatched you will be emailed
the tracking information. If you don’t receive the email please check your spam/junk folder.

Does the cake delivery have to be signed for?
No, but it’s strongly recommended to have someone there to receive it if possible. The tracker will tell us it was delivered. If it then 'disappears' we are not responsible for the loss.

Do you do returns?
As cakes are classed as 'perishable' we do not do returns. A refund will be provided if you prove that our cakes are faulty or damaged, please provide the details by email.
In the very unusual circumstance of simply ‘not liking’ the cake, we regret
this does not mean the cake is faulty and it does not warrant a refund.
