Made with the Spiced Rum from the Caribbean. We’re not saying it will conjure up golden beaches and palm trees, but it definitely has the distinctive flavour of tropical rum.

Recipe & flavour

Recipe: Made with pure butter, juicy sultanas, raisins, currants, sumptuous cherries, tangy orange and lemon peel and a pinch of spice. Before baking, the dried vine fruits are soaked overnight in spiced rum.

Flavour: Deliciously rich, dark, moist and fruity. The subtle taste of the spiced rum lends a hint of tropical sunshine without being too strong, so that the full flavour of the fruit still comes through. A very smooth and mellow fruit cake.

Presentation

The cake is vacuum-sealed in a ring-pull tin which is packed inside a beautiful gift box.

Shelf Life & Storage

24 months. Ambient. Very resilient to long shipping times and different climates. Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. No need to refrigerate. Do not freeze.

INGREDIENTS: Vine Fruits (39%) (Sultanas, Raisins, Currants), WHEAT FLOUR (With Added Calcium, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Pasteurised EGG, Butter (MILK, Salt), Brown Sugar, Humectant: Glycerine, Candied Cherries (5%)(Cherries, Glucose Fructose Syrup, Fruit & Vegetable Concentrate: Carrot, Aronia; Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid), Black Treacle (Cane Molasses, Partially Inverted Sugar Syrup), Spiced Rum (3%), Mixed Peel (Orange Peel, Lemon Peel, Glucose Fructose Syrup, Sugar, Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid), Preservative: Potassium Sorbate, Natural Flavouring, Mixed Spice (Cassia Cinnamon, Coriander, Ginger, Allspice, Nutmeg, Cloves), Raising Agent: Sodium Bicarbonate, Salt.
