Recipe & flavour

Recipe: Made with pure butter, juicy sultanas, raisins, currants, sumptuous cherries, tangy orange and lemon peel and a pinch of spice. Before baking, the dried vine fruits are soaked overnight in a smooth Scottish whisky. 

Flavour: Deliciously rich, dark, moist and fruity. The whisky infusion provides an extra-special taste, but it's subtle, not too strong, so that the full flavour of the fruits still comes through.

Presentation

Packaged in a beautiful keepsake tin, exclusive to Buckingham, decorated with a specially commissioned painting of fruits by a local artist. 155mm diameter and 90mm high.

We do not enclose an invoice or any indication of order value with the cake. 

We pack all our cakes in a smart presentation box which is very strong and specially designed to protect the cake during mailing. 

We regret we cannot deliver on a specific date. If the cake is for a special event (like a birthday) we recommend ordering early.

Shelf Life & Storage

All our cakes are date-marked. Upon delivery, the cake will have a minimum 30 days shelf life remaining. Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. No need to refrigerate. Do not freeze.

All our cakes are hand-made in small batches and then packaged by hand. We will not compromise on the quality of our ingredients. Our philosophy is "quality not quantity". 

INGREDIENTS: Vine fruits (38%)(Sultanas, Raisins, Currants), WHEAT FLOUR (With Added Calcium, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Pasteurised EGG, Butter (MILK, Salt), Brown Sugar, Humectant: Glycerine, Candied Cherries (4%)(Cherries, Glucose Fructose Syrup, Fruit & Vegetable Concentrate: Carrot, Aronia; Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid), Black Treacle (Cane Molasses, Partially Inverted Sugar Syrup), Whisky (3%), Mixed Peel (Orange Peel, Lemon Peel, Glucose Fructose Syrup, Sugar, Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid), Natural Flavouring, Preservative: Potassium Sorbate, Mixed Spice (Cassia Cinnamon, Coriander, Ginger, Allspice, Nutmeg, Cloves), Raising Agent: Sodium Bicarbonate, Salt. 

No artificial colours or flavours. No palm oil. Made to a nut-free recipe.
